In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a video and do a listening exercise about acts of kindness by volunteers helping refugees at the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing. It includes discussion questions and conversation activities about refugees, humanitarian aid, and volunteering. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms from the video. The post-viewing section includes activities on a quote from the video, vocabulary context usage, and rewriting sentences using the video vocabulary. The grammar activity features the present perfect continuous. There is an additional speaking and creative writing task included, as well as a quiz and review section.
