Lesson Description

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short documentary and do a listening exercise on a toy photographer who works for Disney. Video Description

Mitchel Wu from Los Angeles, California stages plastic toy characters to create stories through photo. Disney hired him to create surreal scenes from their iconic franchises like Toy Story and Star Wars. Using practical effects like liquid splashes, and digital effects in Photoshop, the former wedding photographer and recreates the illusion of motion film in a still. In a six-hour process, Wu captures the nostalgia of Harry Potter, Spongebob, Rocky, Batman, Lord of the Rings and more through his self taught craft.
