Lesson Description

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a video about a teenager who built a prosthetic arm out of Legos. It includes discussion questions and conversation activities about disabilities, Legos, and gifted people. Students learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The post-viewing section includes activities on a discussion about some vocabulary terms, vocabulary context usage, unscrambling words, and the past simple. The grammar activity features the usage of -ing and -ed adjectives below. There are additional speaking tasks included, as well as a quiz and review section with a bonus activity.

Video Description

A teenager who was born without an arm turned his disability into a gift, and built an arm made out of his favorite toy - legos. Growing up, he was obsessed with legos, and now has built multiple 'versions' of his own, functional lego arm.
