In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch and listen to an animated TED-Ed video about some of the most influential centuries in human history, in addition to artificial intelligence in the current century and what its potential impact could be. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and vocabulary activities about centuries, artificial intelligence, and existential risk. Students then do some listening/viewing comprehension activities based on the video. The viewing follow-up includes some additional discussion, an activity on vocabulary phrases used in the video, and adjective prefixes (in- / un- / mis-). There is an additional century presentation task. There is a quiz & review as well as a lesson reflection included.
