Lesson Description

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short biography about British author, J. K. Rowling, who used a paper napkin to write Harry Potter. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and other activities about reading, books, and fantasy entertainment, like Harry Potter. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms, phrases, and prepositions from the video. There is also a section on pronunciation. The idea for Harry Potter came to her while riding a train to London, so she scribbled it down on a paper napkin.
