Lesson Description

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a video and do a listening exercise about a food company that produces plant-based burgers, called "Impossible Foods". It includes discussion questions and conversation activities about plant-based meats and veganism / vegetarianism. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The post-viewing section includes a few activities on vocabulary context usage, missing letters, and video vocabulary. The grammar activity features the difference between "when" + gerund and "upon" + gerund. There is an additional speaking and writing tasks included, as well as a quiz & review section with a bonus activity.

Video Description

A burger that looks, smells, tastes, and even "bleeds" like a beef burger, but made entirely from...plants? That's impossible, right? Well - not exactly. The Impossible Burger is a trendy plant-based burger now on the market, which creates the same exact sensory experience as eating a normal burger.
