In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short interview with a man who talks about his cyborg capabilities in the form of an antenna implanted in his head. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and other activities about robotic and medical technology. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. There are also sections on word choice and pronunciation. There are additional speaking tasks included, as well as a quiz and review section with a bonus activity.
Neil Harbisson is the world's first government-recognized human cyborg. An antenna implanted into his head allows him to "hear" colors.
