In this ESL lesson plan for adults, students watch a short comedy skit video about an employee who gets fired on April Fools' Day and thinks it's a prank. It includes discussion questions, and conversation and vocabulary activities about pranks and April Fools' Day. Students then do some listening/viewing comprehension activities based on the video. The viewing follow-up includes a discussion task about the video, and an activity featuring some of the vocabulary in the video with additional discussion. There are optional prank tasks, including one role play 'prank call' task and another prank planning task. There is a quiz & review as well as a lesson reflection included.
