Lesson Description

In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch and listen to an informative video about digital footprints and how to manage them effectively. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and vocabulary activities about digital footprints, online behavior, and social media. Students then do some listening/viewing comprehension activities based on the video. The viewing follow-up includes some additional discussion and an activity on verbs used in the video. There is an additional "Facebook Post" and role play task, as well as a quiz & review and lesson reflection included.

Video Description

A digital footprint is the trail of information we leave behind us when we do anything online - when we share, search, join groups or buy things. All of this information is stored somewhere – sometimes we know about it and sometimes we don’t. In this video, we will give you insights into how digital footprints are formed, why it’s important to be aware of them, how you can manage your digital footprint and ways to make it work to your advantage.
