In this ESL lesson plan for adults and teens, students watch a short informational video about International Asteroid Day, its history, and some more information about asteroids. It includes discussion questions, conversation, and other activities about asteroids and space science. Students also learn some important vocabulary terms and phrases from the video. The grammar exercise features the usage of the phrase "so far" with the present perfect. There are additional speaking tasks, as well as a quiz and review section with a bonus activity.
Today, we look back on the progress we've made tracking risky asteroids and forward to the ones we still haven't found yet.
